Casual Nausea

A carnival of punk rock embracing every angle of the genre imagined whilst getting its rabid teeth into the ills of the world.

Pissed off and driving, yet catchy and melodic. From track to track there is no room for boredom as the band changes it up and keeps it lively and interesting with cool sound bytes , nods and riffs from other genres and styles floating in the punk ether, enhancing the flavour of Casual Nausea’s own unique sound throughout.

Biography

Formed in 2012, Casual Nausea was born of boredom, a living room and 5 friends with nothing better to do.

The original line up was Simon, Shawn, Briggs, Ed and Zoe. We have played together in every possible combination in many different bands over the years, so spending time squeezed into cars, playing music and discussing which venue was king of the vegan chilli seemed a perfect way to spend our time.

We released our first album/extended demo in 2013 and played as much as possible. We joint released a split in 2015 with chewed up and got ourselves over to Europe with both 2 sick monkeys( best band in the world) and chewed up. Shortly after this TNSrecords got in touch to release the split on vinyl.

Briggs sadly decided that after 105 gigs with us that it was time for him to move on but we still love him dearly. After which Kai Rand (MDB, old coyote club, ex faintest idea) joined us for a few giggles and gigs before we found our forever bassist Matt.

We have been playing as much as possible and have been lucky enough to play at festivals such as Boomtown, Rebellion, MPF and loads more. We’ve toured mainland Europe twice as well as a couple of one off trips for festivals there.

In 2019 we released Demons, our first full album on TNSrecords, which was brought out in time for that years MPF festival. It was the Best album release party ever.
