Street Team
We run TNSrecords in our spare time and rely on keeping our budgets as low as possible. One way to get the word out about what we are up to is through the TNSrecords Street Team. The team help us get flyers, stickers, posters etc into the hands of people across the UK. If you would be interested in joining the team here is a bit of information on what is required before you get in touch. As the team is already set up we might have your area covered, apologies in advance if this is the case.
First of all, we’d like to say a huge thanks for your interest. If you decide you have enough time to help, we’ll send you a big pile of flyers and stickers around 2 or 3 times a year.
We need people who already go to lots of relevant gigs who are happy to distribute flyers when they are out. We don’t expect you to do it at every single gig you go to, but the further we can spread the word the better and flyering has always been our most successful way of advertising the label.
In terms of giving out the flyers, it is much better to put them in peoples hands, rather than leaving them on merch desks/doors. If you do just leave flyers on the door at gigs, please collect any that are left over at the end.
Please try to get the stickers in inventive places. We’d love to see where you get them, so please tag any photos on the Facebook page.
We’d love to get TNS to a point where we could give you some free music in return for doing this, but at present this is not financially viable, but you will get a 20% discount code, which you can use at any time on the webstore (does not apply to tickets).
Obviously as we are a DIY, non-profit label, run by volunteers, this job doesn’t pay. It is quite a bit of work for what you get, but we massively appreciate you wanting to help. We have stood outside gigs flyering many times (and will continue to do so). It is often a thankless task.
If after reading this you decide that it is too much work we do understand. The flyers do cost us quite a bit of money so we’d rather people didn’t take on something they can’t commit to.
However, if you are up for it, you are now one of our favourite people and we look forward to you getting involved with what we do. Please get in touch via our contact page.
