HALO was a female fronted, experimental hardcore punk band from Uruguay that existed 2003-2007. Self-proclaimed ’emo-core’ the band has a distinctive ’emo’ sound while still being highly political.
Way back in 2005 the band released their debut 7″ ‘Armonia para resistir’ in the UK through ‘Blackprint records’ however the band only ever saw 10 copies of the 7″ (yes ten!) and the rest disappeared along with the label. Because of this the 7″ is incredibly hard to find and thus little is known of this unique band.
Catalina Records (Uruguay) and A World We Never Made (UK) have now reissued the full 7″ along with additional tracks for a 10 Year Anniversary Edition on a 12″ vinyl in 2015, 10 years after the original release.
Limited to 500 copies in a collaboration with 10+ DIY labels.
