GRAIL GUARD “OUR STREETS”
They don’t want us in their streets.
“Our Streets” is the latest single from Grail Guard’s blistering debut album Still No Future, and it might be their most direct statement yet. Following the confrontational punch of “People Just Like You” and the anarchist rallying cry of “Anxieties”, this new track sharpens its focus on racism, belonging, and who really gets to claim Britain as home. The song speaks for generations who were invited here to rebuild a country from the ashes. Who worked in factories and fields, paid their taxes, raised families, and buried loved ones in this so-called green and pleasant land. Yet are still told they don’t belong because of the colour of their skin.
“Our Streets” challenges that lie head on.
Driven by a relentless bass line, razor-sharp, Dead Kennedys-style guitars, and fierce, unfiltered energy throughout, the track calls out racism, fear, and the toxic nationalism that continues to spill from headlines into real life. It’s punk with clarity. Anger with purpose. A refusal to be pushed aside.

Recorded with Jon Priestley (The Damned, Godfathers, Gash) at Abatis Studios, the single captures both fury and defiance – but also something deeper: pride in heritage, solidarity in community, and belief in collective power. Frontman Riaz’s exploration of British-Indian identity runs through the heart of the song, reinforcing a simple truth – belonging isn’t up for debate.
The final line flips the script and demands unity:
“We don’t want them in our streets.”
Not migrants.
Not families.
Not communities who’ve built their lives here.
We don’t want racists and bigots in our streets.
Because when people stand together, great things happen.
Whose streets?
Our fucking streets.
“Our Streets” is out now via TNSrecords.
