The TNSrecords punk podcast is back for a new series. We have three sets of presenters lined up to deliver a new podcast to you every couple of weeks. The first show is brought to you by Ben and Pete of Acid Drop fame. They play you some of their favourite tunes alongside a couple of guilty pleasures.

This episode is over a year old. At the start of 2014, with the new site, we thought we would be ready to start again. But we have had lots of issues and not enough time to sort them out. Hopefully we should be on it now.

Manchester Punk Festival

More Bands Announced for Manchester Punk Festival

Last week we announced the return of Manchester Ska-core legends Stand Out Riot playing the first Manchester Punk Festival in April, 2015. It is now time to tell you about some more bands that are joining us on 17/18 April.
We are very pleased to announce the next list of bands for Manchester Punk Festival.

80s hardcore legends, The Stupids are returning to Manchester. Last time they were here they played a sold out TNS gig and blew us all away.

Vanilla Pod are celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2015 and will be releasing new material to coincide with that, as well as organising the impressive looking Podstock festival. 
Manchester ska-core band, Stand Out Riot, will be making a welcome return after a 2 year break. We also have Roughneck Riot, who are currently tearing up venues all over Europe with their brand of folk punk.

Melodic punkers, Bear Trade, fast punk band, Tosserlad, Ipswich hardcore punks, The Domestics, Leeds skate punks, Acid Drop and the much loved 2 Sick Monkeys have all been added to the bill. They will be joined by a relatively new band, Jenkem, who have formed out of the ashes of Hated Til Proven.
Then there is Sombulance who are a 5 piece fat wreck influenced punk band from South England and Dead Neck who are a 3 piece melodic hardcore band currently gaining a reputation for heavy touring.
These are added to the bands that we have already announced: The RestartsWonk UnitCrazy ArmAlmeidaFair Do’sRevenge of the Psychotronic ManGreat Cynics,Throwing Stuff and Wadeye.
£10 early bird tickets for MPF have now SOLD OUT. Tickets are now available for £13 from the TNS webstore HERE. On the 2nd Feb they will increase to £15 and be more on the door. There are also a couple of t-shirt and hoodie deals available.
We will be announcing the headliner and loads more bands on 2 Jan. Expect 40+ bands to play across the two days.

Manchester Punk Festival

MPF people. Get excited. The first Manchester Punk Festival is coming. 17/18 April 2015. Save the date.

Last years TNSrecords all-dayer was absolutely amazing. We were completely blown away by the amount of people that wanted to join us in celebrating 10 years of TNS. This left us with the kind of problem that you want to have. How can we possible follow that next year?

Easy, we get together we some great Manchester punk promoters to create something new and exciting, bigger and better. TNS has always been about collaborating with like minded people, working together to achieve something positive. So with that in mind, we present to you Manchester Punk Festival (MPF) brought to you by ourselves and our friends in Moving North and Anarchistic Undertones. We are big fans of what they do and always attend their events.Manchester has a thriving scene, so by working together we hope to combine some of the most exciting strands of the scene. You are probably aware of what they both do, but if not check them out: Moving North and Anarchistic Undertones.

TICKETS

The main event will be at Sound Control and be across two stages on Sat 18 April. Like last year’s all-dayer we will also have a free gig on the Friday and an after show for when the all-dayer ends. There will be at least 30 bands, probably more, across the whole weekend.

We are very pleased to announce the first bands confirmed for the festival are The Restarts, Wonk Unit, Crazy Arm, Almeida, Fair Do’s, Revenge of the Psychotronic Man, Great Cynics, Throwing Stuff and Wadeye.

So you obviously want in. Well we have a limited amount of early bird tickets up for sale at just £10. Make sure you don’t hang around as there aren’t many. We will be releasing the remaining tickets on the 1st December for £13. Head HERE to grab your ticket. All bundles will be sent out at the start of APRIL.

Black Volvo ‘Once We All Were Wolves’ Pre-Order

Get excited. You can now pre-order the debut album from Dutch rockers Black Volvo on vinyl and CD across at the TNS webstore. Once We All Were Wolves will be sent out before Black Volvo head across the English Channel for their UK tour which starts on 30 October in Birmingham. The album is also available on CD, Vinyl or both combined. Anyone that pre-orders the album, and attends one of their UK gigs, will also get a free bottle of the bands own beer.

So, why should you buy the album? Well, in short, it rocks. We first meet the guys on tour in Europe where they blew us away with their fat riffs and all round catchy tunes. With thick riffs, loud bass, solid drums and catchy songs you need to wrap your ears around Black Volvo. Their live shows are entertaining, loud and always played with a laugh. So make sure you check them out on their UK tour at the start of November.

They support the scene in the Netherlands putting on loads of great gigs and have helped out TNS bands when they have headed their way. They also have their own beer. Our kind of guys.

Roughneck Riot ‘Out of Anger’ Pre-Order NOW

The brand new album from Roughneck Riot is now available to pre-order from our webstore. The album drops next month and sounds awesome. It is available on both CD and vinyl with different pre-order bundles to check out. There are exclusive album t-shirts and hoodies available. After working on their new album for the last 10 months, ‘Out of Anger’ is nearly ready for your ears. You will be seeing some new videos for the album over the next couple of weeks with a few acoustic versions already about for your listen pleasure. Influenced by traditional Folk music from around the world, Roughneck Riot have been reinventing and rewriting Folk music to make sense to our lives today. They  say that they “write music for people, regardless of race, nationality, age, gender or sexuality. In a country with a government trying to destroy it and a music industry run by money hungry people who couldn’t care less about musicians, we are here as a voice amongst many in the scene ready to be heard.”
