A concept record? A totally fucking stupid record? A disciplined record? All three possibly…
‘Discipline’ sees East Anglian Hardcore terrors, THE DOMESTICS, team up with everyone’s favourite Welsh nutjobs, PIZZATRAMP for a blast of fast, (loosely) concept-driven, hardcore punk.
The gauntlet was thrown down in early 2018. Could both bands hone their ‘short songs are the fucking best’ approach to the absolute max? Can they still do this whilst turning in the high quality, catchy punk racket they’re both known for? What better way to test their mettle than insist upon the 5” vinyl format, thus physically limiting the time available to turn in no less than 3 songs each.
Mission accomplished? You decide!
Even though this record is only a 5″ it is expensive to make. Counts as a ‘shaped’ record as it has been cut down from a 7″. But put it this way, how many 5″ records do you own?
