The Franceens – Stepford Smiles

The Franceens

Stepford Smiles

Cat: TNS032
Format: CD
Released: December 7th, 2013

The Franceens have been tearing it up live, whilst also supporting the DIY music scene in York, through their own band nights, for a couple of years now. With a sound that mixes elements of 50s rock n’ roll and catchy garage punk, The Franceens have recently received airplay on Radio 1 and have toured up and down the UK. This album is a follow up to last years five track EP, which is available from their bandcamp page for free.

The Franceens have no desire to understand finesse; they haven’t got time – even the track titles are all single word offerings…these boys and girls are motoring way to fast, they are careering down the highway, wide-eyed, lights blazing banging out tunes to match the roar of their 59′ Chevy; the entire album charges along, relentless hook laden tunes slappin’ you round the head – enjoy the pain for you will be wishing for more.
