Bootscraper formed in the summer of 2008.
The band infuses traditional music styles from all over the world with an energy and passion usually not associated with acoustic based music and have drawn comparisons with Gogol Bordello, Tom Waits and Hayseed Dixie to name but a few.

The band holds a residency and organises a monthly live music night “The Hempen Jig” at well known local live venue The Dry Dock described as “The best night I’ve had in that pub” which sees them putting on local, national and international acts the second Wednesday of every month.

Their debut self produced album ‘Country & Eastern’ was released by TNSrecords in 2010.
